HS - Pleasant Valley, Chico

Starred at Pleasant Valley HS in Chico, where he was a
two-time all-section choice in 2000 and '01 . Aaron
passed for a combined 4,419 yards during his junior and
senior seasons . He set single-game school records for
touchdowns (6) and all-purpose yards (440), and
single-season marks for passing yards (2,176) and total
yards (2,466)



Jr. College - Butte

Aaron started his college career at Butte Jr. College in
Northern California were he completed 164-of-265
attempts (61.9%) to lead Butte to a 10-1 record, a NorCal
Conference championship and a No. 2 national ranking .
He averaged 16.2 yards per completion and also rushed
for 294 yards and seven TDs . Aaron was named his
conference's and region's MVP and also garnered third
team All-America accolades from JC Gridwire . A
member of the JC Football Network's All-USA Iron Man
team . Aaron passed for 251 yards and two touchdowns
in leading Butte to a 37-20 win over San Joaquin Delta in
the Holiday Bowl . Voted MVP of the bowl game .
SuperPrep magazine listed him on its top JuCo 100,
rating him as the 41st best JC player in the country .


College - California ( CAL )


Aaron was recruited out of Butte Jr. College by CAL
coach Jeff Tedford who found this bright star
quarterback while looking at films of TE Garrett Cross. A
true student of the game and a bright protégé of coach  
Tedford, Rodgers emerged as one of the nation's
premier quarterbacks as a junior in 2004

His 161.2 pass-efficiency rating in 2004 established a
school single-season record, as he led the fifth-ranked
offense (492.4 ypg.) in the NCAA Division I-A ranks

He boasts a 17-5 record as a starting quarterback for
the Bears

Aaron earned Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Week
honors twice in three weeks during 2003 due to his
exemplary play at Arizona State Nov. 1 (17-of-22 for 307
yards, 3 TDs and 0 INTs) and vs. Washington Nov. 15
(20-of-33 for 348 yards, 3 TDs, 0 INTs)

In the Insight Bowl during the 2003 season, despite
missing his All-American wide receiver Geoff McArthur
(fractured arm) in the lineup - he set all-time Cal bowl
records for passing yardage (394) and highest
completion percentage (77.1%, 27-of-35), and accounted
for four touchdowns (two passing, two rushing) while
throwing no interceptions . Completed 15-of-17 passes
for 245 yards in the second half, when Cal exploded for
31 points to overtake favored Virginia Tech in a 52-49
win and was voted Bowl MVP

In two seasons at California, Rodgers completed 424 of
665 passes (63.8 percent) for 5,469 yards, 43
touchdowns and 13 interceptions, adding 336 yards and
eight scores on 160 rushing attempts (2.1 avg.)

His pass-efficiency rating of 150.31 shattered the
previous school career record of 142.6 by David Barr
(1992-94)

His 5,469 yards passing rank seventh in
California-Berkeley annals and his 43 touchdown
passes rank fifth

His percentage of 1.95 passes that were intercepted
broke the school all-time record of 2.74 percent by Pat
Barnes (26 on 950 throws, 1993-96)

In the 2004 Southern California (USC ) contest, Rodgers
tied the NCAA single-game consecutive-completions
record, connecting on his first 23 attempts and set a
new NCAA overall consecutive completions record with
26 consecutive (three at Oregon State and 23 at USC),
breaking 1998 record of 24

Rodgers gained 5,805 yards in total offense at
California, the sixth-best career total in school annals.

His 3,113 total yards in 2003 are topped only by Pat
Barnes (3,499 in 1996) on Cal's season-record chart
